Modern RCQ at AGE Con

Heroes Hideout and Lake City Present:

AGE Cons: 4-slot MTG modern RCQ Event with $2,000 in cash and Prizes

The RCQ will be held at this year's AGE Con (Anime, Gaming, and Entertainment), this will be a 1-day event on Saturday, August 17th.

This event will be capped at 150 players, with the top 4 players receiving RCQ invites for this current season. Call and preregister, spots will fill up fast.

 

Event Registration will begin at 9:00 am when the doors open to the public.

 

Player's meeting will begin at 10:30am

 

Pairings and event will start promptly at 11:00 am

 

This will be a Comp REL event with rules enforcement, deck lists will be required, and we will follow the MTR recommendation guide for the number of rounds.

 

Pre-Registration Fees:
Please call to pre-register (843)-799-2510 (slots will fill up quick)
$50 event-($20 of each entry covers entry into the CON, and $30 covers entry into the RCQ)

 

Registration Day of:
$60 event-($20 at the door day of, and $40 to enter the RCQ)

 

For all players that pre-register please bring a form of ID and there will be a list of names at the front door, verify your name and ID. You will be given your wristband to enter the con. Please visit the Heroes Hideout booth at the CON and pick up your ticket from a staff member to present to the judges to show you are entered into the event.

 

First 32 players to call and Pre-Register will receive a Sleight of Hand promotional card
Top 16 players at event will receive a Foil Sleight of Hand Promotional Card
Top 8 players will receive RCQ top 8 Pins

 

Additional Prizing: $2000 payout if minimum of 75 players is reached, prizing will be adjusted based on number of entries. If minimum players are reached prize payout structure is as follows.

1st: RCQ Invite, Pin and lanyard, and $620 Cash
2nd: RCQ Invite, Pin, and $420 Cash
3rd and 4th: RCQ Invite, Pin, and $240 Cash
5-8th: Top 8 pin and $80 Cash
9-16th: $20 Cash

This is the first time this convention is running a comp event so there will be a learning curve for everyone.  Patience, flexibilty, and understanding are required for this event.  We are looking for 1-3 more judges (one potentially being a score keeper) to help us launch this inaugural event.
