Hi!
CR 903.4 tells us that “The color identity of a card is the color or colors of any mana symbols in that card's mana cost or rules text, plus any colors defined by its characteristic-defining abilities (see rule 604.3) or color indicator (see rule 204).” So is it correct that while a card with devoid is colorless “even outside the game” (CR 702.113a), the color identity of such a card does still take into account the colored mana symbol in its mana costs? For example,
Eyeless Watcher is a colorless creature card with a green color identity and therefore not allowed in a Commander deck with a non-green commander? (I know it would be impossible to cast him anyway since there wouldn't be a chance to generate green mana, but he could be used in a different way.)
