Sure, but are we going to go as far as communicate that to players? If NP doesn't confirm, are we going to tell them that we expect them to and that's why we are backing up?

Some more food for thought: the shortcuts in the MTR are there because that's the natural way people play the game. It's highly unusual that a player won't do anything on his turn, though.
