Hello everyone!

This time I want to introduce a new feature on our Conferences Blog: the Conferences Calendar!
With so many conferences taking place around the world it's easy to lose track of which one is happening where. It's also quite impressive to see how many we're hosting!

On our main page you'll see the calendar on its list form. If you go to the Conference Dates section, you'll see it in proper calendar mode!

My many thanks first to David Gutesa who set it up and works to keep it updated, as well as David de la Iglesia and Jason Lemahieu for the tech support!

Hello everyone and welcome to a new article from the Conferences Sphere!
This time, Matteo Callegari, L3 judge from Italy and co-lead of the sphere explains us how to approach our first conference: What to expect, what's expected from us, why you should try it and how to proceed from that moment.

Where you ask? Where else if not in the Conferences Sphere Blog!

After a somewhat long pause, a new article is ready for you!

In what may be my personal source of guidance for the years to come, co-lead of the Presenters team, Ivan Petkovic explains us why do we fall on the same presentation traps over and over again and provides useful tips on how to overcome them!

You can find part 1 of this 2 series installment here, on our Conferences Blog.

Hello everyone!

After some changes to our procedures, particularly for how RCs can request support for official conferences, we present a new update to our conferences policies and guidelines.
My many thanks to Johanna and the rest of the team for keeping our documentation updated, and you can see the full post here:

Being a Magic Judge means in many situations, being a road warrior, traveling around the city/state/country/continent/world, going from one event to the other. Or it's just your muggle life that gets on the way of your Magic life, affecting your planning, since the time, resources and availability you hoped to have, particularly to prepare your seminar for a conference are no longer there.

Do not despair! Our own road warrior George Gavrilita presents us part 1 of his 2 installment series on how to produce more with less!

Want to know how George travel ended?
Or actually want to know what other steps George took to overcome his problems and get to deliver a high quality presentation when “lacking” resources?

The solution to both, can be found in part 2 of “On the Road”: http://blogs.magicjudges.org/conferences/?p=410

Welcome all to one of our last (if not the last) post of the year.
Quite an intense year, where we focused our efforts in providing tools for our facilitators to improve how they prepare and present in our conferences, with various articles with the first back in April and never stopping since then.

End of year is always a good time for reviewing what we did and what impact our actions had. In the following entry, Thomas Ralph takes the testimony of various members of our community and how our various efforts affected (positevely, hopefully!) in their presentations.

Want to take the opportunity to praise all the people who contributed with articles (George Gavrilita, Patrick Ericsson, Dani Sole, Thomas Ralph, Matteo Callegari, Ivan Petkovik) as well as the rest of the Presenter Training Team who have contributed with observations and feedback for the material we presented. If you liked the articles and have found the material useful, make sure you let them know!

Without further to add, here's the Presenter Training Team: 2015 in Review

The end of year and with it, the L2 maintenance requisites brought many L2s to express their views on many events. As such, some decided to write about conferences they had recently participated in, on various different roles.

Continuing Alex's trend, today we present you again with some reports which had been originally posted on their respective region's blog which we want to share again with you here.

On one side, we introduce you to the Europe-North region, where William Tiddi introduces us to the latest conference in the region, held in Helsinki, Finland and refreshes us about many of the values and vision we have about why our program has conferences. You can see a reproduction of the original in our blog, here

On the other, Georgi Benev presents his recollections of the recent Europe-East leadership conference, where the various leaders appointed by the region's RC Giorgos discussed about the current state and future of the region as well as continue the development of the region's leadership. You can see a reproduction of the original in our blog, here.

Thanks to William and Georgi, thanks to their RCs Johanna and Giorgos and another thank to David de la Iglesia and Patrick Ericsson for helping providing the articles in a ready to post way.

Our presenter's training team returns fro their holiday break, with batteries recharged and energy at it's peak!
Theo Millidonis introduces us (in the first of a 3 part series) to the concepts of body language and how sometimes what our body transmits is as much if not more important than what our words do.
