Jump-start from opponent's graveyard

Good day everyone.
I'd like some clarification regarding usability of jump-start from opponent's graveyard.
Situation. Nathan has Risk Factor in his graveyard. Adam attacks him with Wrexial, the Risen Deep, and upon connecting, choose and cast Risk Factor from Nathan's graveyard. Can Adam for whatever reason (i.e. madness) discard a card in this case?
I checked CR, Release notes and mtg gamepedia and couldn't find anything that allows that.
However, several judges told me that jump-start is an additional cost connected to casting spell from graveyard and could be paid any time spell with jump-start is played from graveyard, no matter which graveyard it is.
Thank you.
