I can brute force this math, but does someone know of a more elegant way to calculate this? I suspect I'll run a 4 round tournament tonight w/ around 12 people, wondering how many 4-0, 3-1, etc. I can expect so I can make suggestions on prize structure.

Pascal's Triangle is what you want.
I made up a simple calculator in Excel some years ago which sorta does the trick - it's pretty straightforward.

http://elishiffrin.org/triangle.html seems to do weird things with an abnormal number of rounds… try to run 1800 players and 16 rounds for example (GP standards) it will show 164 “16-0”s… im fairly sure thats not right :P

Did you remember to cut players for day 2?

Looks like just a bug in the program for anything over 11 rounds. Luckily, you should never need to use this for something larger than that, since a GP uses a different calculator due to byes.
