Strionic Resonator and Huntmaster

I apologize if this has been covered already but I can't find the topic so I'm going to ask here a very good question that came up at FNM last week.

If I copy the flip trigger of Huntmaster of the Fells with Strionic Resonator, will it flip twice? My instinctual response is no, beacuse each trigger would be “Transform Huntmaster of the Fells” and since neither says “Ravager” (almost like they planned for Resonator when they worded the flip cards…:), the first trigger would resolve, and then the second would look to transform a Huntmaster but not see one on the battlefield anymore. BUT, you could copy the “Whnever this enters the BF or transforms into Huntmaster” effect to get a pair of wolf tokens and 4 life, correct? Thanks.

It will transform into the Ravager, then it will transform back into the Huntmaster.

Whenever a card uses its name in its text box, it's referring to that object. It doesn't matter if its name changes before the ability resolves, the trigger will still affect that object. In this situation, if you copy the Huntmaster's transforming trigger, the copy will resolve first, and the Huntmaster will transform into the Ravager (causing the Ravager's ability to trigger). Then the original trigger resolves, and that permanent transforms again, back into the Huntmaster (and triggering its ability again).

It's also possible to copy either the Huntmaster or Ravager's other triggered ability with the Resonator. For instance, if you copy the Huntmaster's trigger, you'll gain a total of four life and get two tokens.
