Just to be sure, this revamped line from Game Rule Violation:

If an object changing zones is put into the wrong zone, the identity of the object was known to all players, and it is within a turn of the error, put the object in the correct zone.

Does this apply to cards that change zones but weren't supposed to at all? For example a Heliod's Emissary is put into the graveyard by mistake because the bonus from Spear of Heliod was forgotten.

So I think that: “If an object changing zones is put into the wrong zone,”
is referring to something “changing zones”, not when things don't change
zones.

Although I may be reading it too literally.

The Object must be going from zone A to zone B, but instead go
(incorrectly) to zone C. The “typical” example is : I path of exile your
dude, and you put it in the graveyard instead.
it does not apply to creatures that incorrectly died or survived combat.

From Toby Elliott's blog on the M14 updates:
“The GRV fix for handling objects in the wrong zone got clarified, as it
was being stretched to cover interactions that were never intended. It only
applies to objects already changing zones.” (

)
Seems pretty clear to me.
If an object is moved to the wrong zone at a time when it shouldn't have
changed zones, then you can't employ the partial fix for that GRV. Either
rewind fully or leave it be.
