person stealing stuff at our prerelease

hello,
at the store where i work, we had a prerelease and yesterday during the event a guy stole (on camera) several packs of sleeves. we are contacting the police, but i wonder if this is also something the DCI would be interested in hearing about. is it possible to report someone for something like this, and if so who do i contact about that?

DQs and Investigations are appropriate for Theft of Tournament Materials. That can happen after the event, and Investigations can be entered later, when the judge becomes aware of it.

Theft of non-tournament, store property should be handled by the police.

Yes; a certified judge can report an investigation in the Judge Center, but if you're the head judge, you can also report it by emailing the Investigations Lead, Eric Shukan, at eshukan@verizon.net.

Sam, drop me an email, we can talk about it some. We'll see if it's something we want to look at.
