It's not a good idea to say “a mana ability is an ability that adds mana to a mana pool”. I understand that you want to keep it simple and it's not necessary to explain the exact criteria, but that wording is going to fail people with cards like Deathrite Shaman, Carpet of Flowers, and Koth of the Hammer, which all see tournament play.



Unclaimed Territory still works as expected provided that you played it before Blood Sun resolved (if you play it after, you can’t name a creature type and it would only add colorless mana
This is incorrect. It would still tap for mana of any color, that mana just couldn't be spent on anything.



Blood Moon Removes abilities printed on the land, but not abilities gained by other means.
This is also incorrect. Abilities gained due to a copy effect, text-changing effect, or earlier type-changing effect will in fact be removed. Only abilities gained due to an ability-adding effect remain, because that layer comes after Blood Moon applies.
