Anointed Procession, Ixalan's Binding and Sram's Expertise

So this Question came up last time I played with my new Deck.

I control Anointed Procession which is exiled with Ixalan's Binding.

I cast Sram's Expertise from my hand and with its second effect I cast Cleansing Ray choosing to -Destroy an Enchantment- and targeting Ixalan's Binding.

How is each effect added to the Stack?
Will Cleansing Ray resolve before I get the three token? If Yes, is Anointed Procession on the battlefield at that time?

Anointed Procession, Ixalan's Binding and Sram's Expertise

Hi,

Thanks for your question. You follow the instructions for the Expertise in the order they're written on the card. First, you create the three tokens (and there's no Procession on the battlefield yet). Then, you can cast the Ray. The Expertise finishes resolving, and the Ray ends up as the only spell on the stack. When the Ray resolves, the Binding is destroyed and the Procession enters the battlefield, but much too late to double the number of tokens made by the Expertise.

In short - you get the tokens before the Procession returns, so you get three tokens, not six.

Thanks,
Nathan Long
