Right, as I said above - the linked playmat does not fall under that criteria.

Sorry bout that. Yeah the linked playmat doesn't seem to have any strategic
advice. Previous discussions were surrounding what would constitute
strategic advice. I think the conclusion has been reached where it does not
fall under that banner. I misread your question.

Well the base question still remains: What IS considered strategic advice? I havent been able to find a definitive answer. I mean if I write in my notes “Save Doom Blade for Brimaz” is that strategic advice? What if I wrote it during game 1? Is it advice if I am telling myself?

Not every term used in the documents is exactly defined, in order to keep them short and practical enough. For some concepts, we believe you to be able to use your best judgement.

So let me see if I understood (I don't think so) :P

If a player refers to some CR notes, it that Outside Assistance?

I believe I got the answer to my question even if I'm still a bit interested in further discussion.

It is difficult to give an absolute answer without actually seeing the playmat myself.

Well, recently this playmat showed up on Facebook, we had a chat in the Italian Judge team and we think it's legal to use.

Here is a playmat players at my local store have started getting. Its called the blueprint playmate. Has all the steps to casting a spell, phases of a turn, and Combat steps listed on it.

I would allow that playmat. It doesn't show strategic information nor any offensive content.
