Well, either that or say he won 2-1 and wants to concede it as 1-2. The point is: can a player who has won 2 games concede BEFORE filling out the match slip, so that his opponent wins the match? MTR2.4 appears to allow that, and I seem to recall that we talked about it before in some forum or other.

To be clear, he completed game 2 by winning and player B never won before, and he wants to report a completely different result for game 2 and the never would have occurred to happen game 3?

Hi, all. I'm verifying that MTR2.4 permits the following situation: Player A wins the first 2 games in a match, but then he wants to leave. In order to allow Player B to have a chance in the tourney, player A chooses to let Player B win the match, and the players fill out the match slip 1-2 in B's favor. There is no bribery of any sort, no dealmaking, just that Player A wants to go home. Is this allowed? I believe that it is according to MTR2.4, but I want to verify. Probably would need an ruling here at some point. Thanks! -Eric
MTR 2.4 Conceding or Intentionally Drawing Games or MatchesIf a game or match is not completed, players may concede or mutually agree to a draw in that game or match. A match is considered complete once the result slip is filled out or, if match slips are not being used, a player leaves the table after game play is finished. Until that point, either player may concede to or draw with the other, though if the conceding player won a game in the match, the match must be reported as 2-1. Intentional draws are always reported as 0-0-3.
